About Tim

Timothy A. Hanson CR

Tim was drawn to Rolfing fifteen years ago after living with a personal injury that left him unable to participate in activities he had previously enjoyed. After working with a Certified Rolfer, he could feel significant changes in his body and was left with a new sense of body awareness. He feels fortunate to be able to share with people what has had such an impact on his life.

Tim’s background as a cyclist, skier, and outdoor enthusiast support his emphasis and continued awareness concerning movement and kinesthetic awareness. He is a certified Rolfer following his graduation from the Rolf Institute located in Boulder, Colorado. Tim’s skills, knowledge and sense of humor provide a safe and professional healing environment.

About Rolfing

How does Rolfing work?

Rolfers use their elbows, fingers, and knuckles to stretch and open fascia to correct the habitual patterns of misalignment in the head, shoulders, abdomen, pelvis, and legs. This helps to improve breathing, increase range of motion, relieving chronic pain and improve physical and emotional wellness.

Each Rolfing session builds upon the results of the previous one. The first three sessions address the extrinsic, or superficial layers of the body. Sessions four through seven deal with the intrinsic, or deeper layers in the body. Sessions eight through ten work to organize the changes in the structure and ultimately leave the body in its most integrated form. Sessions last an hour to an hour and a half. I encourage people to commit to at least the first three sessions. Then you will know intuitively if the treatment is right for you. The length of time between each session is determined on an individual basis. Sessions typically are once a week for the best results. The cost is $150 a session.
